ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio — Just a few days after 60-year-old Kristyna Keenan was shot and killed outside of her State Road home in Ashtabula Township, authorities say a female suspect has been arrested in Canada after turning herself in.
The Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office says the female surrendered in Toronto on Saturday afternoon “and told authorities she was responsible for the shooting.”
She is being held in Toronto pending extradition.
“The investigation is ongoing,” according to statement from the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday morning. “Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
Authorities did not release any information about the woman.
It was around 6 p.m. last Thursday when deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of State Road.
“Upon arrival, Kristyna Keenan was found deceased in the driveway of her home from an apparent gunshot wound,” according to details released by the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning.
Initial reporting from authorities had identified the shooting suspect as a male who was driving a dark-colored sedan who pulled into a CVS and waited for the victim to arrive home.
