CLEVELAND — A 19-year-old is in custody following a triple-shooting that left one dead and two others wounded at a house party in Cleveland in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to Cleveland Police, officers responded to the area of 2142 West 105th Street at approximately 1 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Upon arriving, officers found a large crowd in the street and a Toyota SUV parked in the middle of the street with two victims inside.
Both victims were 18-year-old males. They were transported to Cleveland MetroHealth via EMS, where one was pronounced dead after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest, while the other had suffered five gunshot wounds to the body.
Officers later learned that additional gunshot victims from the incident had self-transported to Metro with an investigation revealing that one of the self-transports was the suspect. The 19-year-old male suspect had also suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, while a female 19-year-old victim arrived at Metro with a gunshot wound to the head.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect fired shots at a house party at 2142 West 105th Street before fleeing the area in a vehicle. Multiple firearms were recovered at the scene and an investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
