VERMILION, Ohio — An Erie County man is in custody after investigators say he used a cattle prod to discipline two of his children.
According to Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth, 34-year-old Robert M. Bores of Florence Township was arrested on Wednesday evening. Sheriff's deputies say Bores used the cattle prod on two children, aged 7 and 8, for "disciplinary purposes." There apparently were multiple children at the home when the incident happened.
Bores, who has been arrested previously for domestic violence, has been charged with three counts of felony domestic violence and three counts of child endangering. He was arraigned on Thursday afternoon with bond set at $90,000. If Bores posts bond, he must wear a GPS monitor.
A preliminary hearing for Bores has been set for March 21.
Meanwhile, Sigsworth says the investigation into the incident is continuing.
