CLEVELAND — Tyrone Hughley, 37, was sentenced to life in prison with eligibility for parole no earlier than 60 years from now for sexually assaulting three sisters ages 10, 12, and 13.
The assaults took place from June 2020 to August 2021. Hughley was arrested in November 2021 when the victims grandmother took the 12-year-old victim to the doctor after noticing her stomach had been growing.
It was determined that the 12-year-old victim and the 10-year-old victim were both impregnated by Hughley after a fetal DNA test was performed and Hughley determined to be a 99.9999999% match.
“Few crimes reach the level of depravity as the ones committed by Tyrone Hughley. He sexually assaulted three siblings and impregnated a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley said in a statement. “He has earned every day of his minimum 60-year sentence. I pray this family and these girls heal from this unimaginable trauma.”
Hughley pleaded guilty to three counts of rape Tuesday. Two of the rape charges carry a minimum sentence of life in prison with eligibility for parole after 25 years.
