AKRON, Ohio — A 36-year-old man is dead following a shooting in the East Akron neighborhood.
Police were called to the 800 block of McKinley Avenue Thursday morning after family member's found the victim inside the home just before 10:30 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity has not yet been released.
The exact circumstances surrounding the victim's killing are unknown and no suspects have been named or arrested at this time. This is the 11th homicide within the city of Akron so far this year, according to officials.
