CLEVELAND — A man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting that occurred at a bar in downtown Cleveland in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to Cleveland Police, officers responded to the Bartini Factory at 1105 Carnegie Avenue at approximately 1:40 a.m. on May 7 for a report of two people shot. Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old man on the ground with gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. Officers rendered medical aid to the man until EMS arrived to convey him to Metro, where he was pronounced deceased.
The second victim, a 27-year-old female, was shot in the leg and transported to Metro by a private vehicle.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the two victims were together at the Bartini Factory when the male victim became involved in an altercation with another male who was with a group. Another male in that group opened fire inside of the bar, striking both victims.
No arrests in this incident have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
