BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Two employees at Giant Eagle in Beachwood have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The grocery chain confirmed the news in a statement to 3News Tuesday.
The two employees last worked at the store, located at 24601 Chagrin Blvd, on May 12 and May 14.
"In all of these instances, our focus is on ensuring that the affected Team Members are cared for and that others who may have come into close contact with the individuals are appropriately notified," said Giant Eagle spokesperson Dan Donovan.
Donovan went on to say they are maintaining the necessary cleaning protocols.
"We continue rigorous sanitization efforts throughout this, and all, stores."

The safety of our Team Members and guests remains our top priority. Like many retailers, Giant Eagle has received confirmation of individuals working in select stores testing positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began more than two months ago. In all of these instances, our focus is on ensuring that the affected Team Members are cared for and that others who may have come into close contact with the individuals are appropriately notified.
