AKRON, Ohio — A gas leak Friday morning in Akron prompted a temporary closure of Independence Avenue between Alice Avenue and Breiding Road.
As of 12:11 p.m., the road had been reopened.
“Please AVOID the area,” the Akron Police Department posted at 10:36 a.m. on X (formerly known as Twitter).
