AKRON, Ohio — St. Patrick’s Day comes early in the city of Akron as the 2024 parade stepped off on Saturday, March 9, which is more than a week before the holiday officially arrives on March 17..
This year’s lineup included floats, marching bands, non-profit organizations, businesses, animal groups and more.

Students from the St. Vincent-St. Mary High School marching band were among those featured in this year’s Akron parade. This appearance comes just days before the band travels overseas to march in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Ireland.
Cleveland’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will take over downtown streets on Sunday, March 17. It's scheduled to step off at 2:04 p.m. on Superior Avenue at East 18th Street.
