AKRON, Ohio — Authorities have identified the 15-year-old boy who was killed in a shooting earlier this week in Akron as Ronald Willis Jr.
Investigators say he was shot around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Seward Avenue. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he later died at 5:20 p.m.
The Summit County Medical Examiner has ruled the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy has also been complete, but no additional details were immediately available.
Akron police are also reporting another deadly shooting that happened late Thursday night in which a 20-year-old man was killed with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1200 block of McMillan Circle. A 24-year-old woman was also shot in the foot during that incident.
No suspects have been identified in either case.
