CLEVELAND — A 42-year-old man was shot and killed on the 3000 block of West 25th Street in Cleveland Monday afternoon.
Officers and medical professionals responded to a call of a man shot in a vehicle on the street. EMS attempted to provide aid to the victim while he was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center.
He was pronounced dead at MetroHealth upon arrival.
According to an initial investigation by Cleveland police, the victim was inside of the King Wireless business at 3024 W. 25th Street with another individual. The two exited the store, entered a vehicle and drove in the direction of the suspect.
The suspect, who is an employee at King Wireless, fired a round into the vehicle, striking the victim. The suspect then fled from the scene on foot.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the store and seized narcotics and firearms.
The name of the victim has not yet been released by Cleveland police and no arrests have been made.
This incident remains under investigation.
