CLEVELAND — An 11-year-old boy has died after being pulled from the waters of Lake Erie on Saturday afternoon, according to Cleveland Metroparks police.
Cleveland EMS confirmed that the incident took place at Euclid Beach around 3:30 p.m. The child was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the child as 11-year-old Anthony Lenix Jr. of Cleveland.
Cleveland Metroparks police also noted that the incident occurred outside of a designated lifeguard swimming area.
