6 children, 2 adults taken to hospital after vehicle crashes into pole in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Six children and two adults were taken to the hospital Sunday night after a vehicle carrying 14 people crashed into a pole in Cleveland at West 58th Street and Denison.

Cleveland EMS tells 3News it happened around 7:45 p.m.

EMS says the adults who were transported include a 31-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, while the children range in age from 2 to 12.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed to 3News that one of the children -- a 7-year-old girl from Warrensville Heights -- died as a result of the crash.

No additional details were immediately available.
