CLEVELAND — A man is dead after a shooting in the Steelyard Commons parking lot Sunday morning, Cleveland police say.
At approximately 4:15 a.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Steelyard Drive for reports of a man who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has since been identified as Jaycobe Mynatt of Brook Park, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
Cleveland police say their initial investigation revealed that the incident occurred during a "planned meet up."
No further details were revealed from the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.
