CLEVELAND — A 65-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting of a 10-year-old boy in Cleveland earlier this week.
The incident happened Monday afternoon where authorities say the child was shot in the 5100 block of Gifford Avenue. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, according to EMS.
3News has since obtained an affidavit in which the suspect is identified as 65-year-old George Zatik Jr. He's listed as the child's grandfather, according to the affidavit.
Records from Cleveland Municipal Court show Zatik has been charged with felonious assault. Bond was set at $10,000 and Zatik was ordered to have no contact with the victim. His next court date is on Feb. 29.
