CLEVELAND — One man is dead after a fatal fire in Ohio City early Sunday at a Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority apartment complex on West 25th Street.
The fire department says an elderly woman is also in the hospital. Other residents of the building are being checked for smoke inhalation.
The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m., with officials saying it was brought under control around 7:17 a.m. Crews are working to determine the cause.
