CLEVELAND — From the topsy-turvy to the downright confusing, downtown Cleveland's new Museum of Illusions is set to bring mind-bending fun.
"We're excited to be right here in The May building in downtown Public Square," said Museum of Illusions Operating Manager Tom Clack. "It's something we have not seen in downtown Cleveland."
The museum, which opens on Friday, aims to offer more than just fun and games.
"What we do is we really explain the science behind each of these exhibits," said Clack. "Whether it's visual illusion of our wonderful vortex room or one of those things that just looks like it will go on forever and ever. Some of those things are really great opportunities to play tricks on your mind."
At the venue, there are some exhibits that bring a special Cleveland flair to the table, including a basketball court-themed "Reversed Room" and the city-themed "Building Illusion."
Museum officials say the venue is ADA accessible and welcoming to people of all ages, including families with strollers.
