CLEVELAND — A suspect is in custody after a woman was fatally shot inside her home in South Euclid on Friday, police said.
According to a release from South Euclid Police Chief Joseph Mays, police and EMS units responded to a call of an unresponsive woman at a home in the 3800 block of Grosvenor Road.
Police found a 47-year-old woman inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The victim has since been identified as Angela Bates.
The suspect, whom police also did not identify, was arrested at the scene and is being held at the South Euclid Jail pending charges.
The BCI responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
