MADISON, Ohio — Did you feel it?
A 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded early Saturday morning in Madison, which is located in Lake County.
The quake happened at 6:11 a.m. at a depth of approximately five km, according to the United States Geological Survey.

A breakdown of earthquake magnitudes by Michigan Tech shows this Northeast Ohio quake would be classified as a minor event.
The Madison community is no stranger to earthquakes. In early January, for example, the USGS record a 2.6 magnitude on Jan. 5, with a 2.3 a few days earlier on Jan. 1. One month prior, that same community also experienced a 2.3 earthquake on Dec. 1.
