Yet another Northeast Ohio school district has been impacted by a threat.
On Wednesday night, Madison Local Schools announced that it will be closed on Thursday, December 16 due to a threat.
In a post on the district's website, Madison Local Schools says the step to close on Thursday "is taken out of an abundance of caution."
The district adds that Madison Township Police with the support of school administrators are investigating an alleged threat against Madison High School.
"When the investigation is complete, we will issue a joint statement," Madison Local Schools added.
Earlier this week, Barberton Middle School went into a “soft lockdown” after officials say they received a message containing a bomb threat and other violent threats from an anonymous source.
There were at least three arrests made last week for threats made against area school districts. The list included Berea-Midpark Middle School, Elyria's Westwood Middle School, and Mogadore High School.Stow-Munroe Falls High School also reported a ton of absences last Friday after another threat circulated.
