2-year-old girl fatally shot, two others injured in Lorain

LORAIN, Ohio — The Lorain Police Department is investigating a shooting that took the life of a 2-year-old girl on Sunday night. 

Officers say the shooting happened at the 1900 block of W. 21st Street. When they arrived at around 11:30 p.m., they found three people shot and began rendering aid. 

The shooting victims were 62-year-old Constance Mays, 20-year-old Hassan Lauderdale, and 2-year-old Kamily Patterson.  All three were transported to Lorain Mercy Hospital. 

Kamily Patterson died from her injuries at the hospital. The condition of the other two injured people are not known at this time.
