Police have arrested the man they say shot and killed a woman more than three months ago outside a Lorain County McDonald's.
The U.S. Marshals Service tells 3News 34-year-old James Kimbrough was captured at an unspecified location. He is currently being held without bail at the Lorain County Jail on a charge of aggravated murder.
Authorities claim Kimbrough shot the 24-year-old victim to death back on Jan. 6 as she sat in her car in the parking lot of the McDonald's on Detroit Road. Her name has not yet been released, but owner John House confirmed she was an employee at the restaurant.
"We are devastated by the tragic loss of our team member and friend. Our hearts are with our employee's family and loved ones," House said at the time. "Nothing is more important than the safety of our people and customers, and we're working closely with law enforcement in their investigation."
Court records show Kimbrough had been facing charges of aggravated burglary and domestic violence in a separate case but had been out on bond at the time of the murder. Following the killing, Marshals offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
If convicted, Kimbrough could potentially face the death penalty, should prosecutors choose to pursue it.
