LORAIN, Ohio — The Lorain Police Department is reporting three shootings that took place during a three hour span on Monday.
The first call of a shooting came into police just after 2:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Officers found that a 24-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in the 2500 block of Marshall Avenue. He was taken to Mercy Health - Lorain Hospital. Police say the victim and persons on scene have not been cooperative in the investigation. Anyone having information about this case should contact Detective Graupmann at 440-204-2105.
About ten minutes later, police received a call of a man who had been shot at a home inside the 2300 block of E. 37th Street. In fact, officers discovered two shooting victims inside. A 24-year-old woman, who is the homeowner, suffered a gunshot wound to her lower body. A 28-year-old Elyria man sustained one or more gunshot wounds. He underwent surgery and is currently in critical condition at a Cleveland-are hospital. The woman was treated and released from Mercy Health - Lorain Hospital.
The suspect in the case is 26-year-old Marquis Harden of Lorain, who is an estranged boyfriend of the woman. Police say the relationship appears to have been a factor in the case. Harden fled the scene and is currently on the run. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone having information about this case should contact Detective Dougherty at 440-204-2105.

Just before 6:00 a.m. on Monday, police were called to the 1300 block of Shaffer Dr. and found a 25-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to Mercy Health - Lorain Hospital for his non-life threatening wound. Police say both the victim and persons on-scene were not cooperative in the investigation.
