CLEVELAND — An Ottawa County man was seriously injured after being ejected from his motorcycle following a crash early Saturday morning in Vermilion, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
According to OSHP, Tyler Heggie, 30, of Oak Harbor, crashed his 2002 Harley Davidson on State Route 2 just west of State Route 60 at around 2:20 a.m. Troopers say Heggie was driving westbound on State Route 2 when he veered off the right side of the road and crashed into a light pole.
Heggie was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, troopers said.
Heggie was flown to a Cleveland hospital with "serious injuries." There is no word on his current condition.
The OSHP is still investigating the crash.
