MANSFIELD, Ohio — A 45-year-old Shiloh man was killed while driving a motorcycle on State Route 96 on Saturday.
According the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 4:05 p.m. when a Dodge Grand Caravan being driven northbound on Ganges Five Points Road by 38-year-old Dustin Smith of Mansfield failed to stop at a stop sign off the right side of State Route 96. Paul Huffman, 45, of Shiloh, was operating a Harley Davison Motorcycle westbound and proceeded to strike the Dodge Grand Caravan.
The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road. The Franklin Township EMS transferred Huffman to Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation remains ongoing.
