STREETSBORO, Ohio — First responders from several departments are at the scene after a tractor-trailer rolled off of the Ohio Turnpike and down an embankment in Streetsboro.
According to the Streetsboro Fire Department, the incident occurred near the 188 mile marker on the Ohio Turnpike. The tractor-trailer rolled down an embankment on the south side of the turnpike and rested against some trees at the north end of private property. The driver of the tractor-trailer was freed from the wreckage and walked under his own power to a waiting ambulance for evaulation.
Emergency responders are in the 1200 block of Apache Pass in Streetsboro and on the Ohio Turnpike concurrently. Streetsboro fire officials say there is no immediae danger to any residents living in the area of Apache Pass. Eastbound traffic on the Ohio Turnpike is being maintained.
There is no word yet on what caused the truck to go off of the Ohio Turnpike and roll into the embankment. This is a developing story. Stay with 3News for more details as they become available.
