SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Police in Springfield Township are warning residents of a “vicious” dog that’s on the loose in the Springhill area, while urging caution at bus stops.
The Springfield Township Police Department addressed the situation with the following statement on their Facebook page Sunday night:
There is a vicious loose Gray and White Pitbull running the Springhill area. Dog was last seen near James Ave. Please be careful in the morning and be cognizant at bus stops. We will update if we find the dog before morning. We are still looking! The pitbull attacked another dog. We do not know who the owner is.
When one person asked for clarification on the "Springhill" location, the Springfield Township Police Department responded with the following update in the comments: "Springhill Elementary School area. Off Albrecht/224/532. Lessig/celia/edith/ewart/farmdale/carper/samuel/howard Ave etc."
As of late Monday morning, Springfield Township police said there have been "no new updates" as the dog hasn't been spotted.
