BRUNSWICK, Ohio — A Brunswick woman won the top prize in the $500,000 Cashword Ohio Lottery scratch-off game.
The top prize for the $10 scratch-off game is $500,000.
The Ohio Lottery says the winner, Jodi Smallwood, bought her ticket at Cenco on Center Road in Brunswick.
It's a location Jodi says she would have never visited if she hadn't met her boyfriend, who lives nearby.
Jodi received $360,000 after a mandatory 28% state and federal tax was deducted from the total.
She plans to share her winnings with her family, take a vacation around Christmas and create savings accounts for her grandchildren to use in the future.
Jodi also bought her boyfriend a new car with her winnings.
"Giving is what I like to do, it makes me feel good to see people smile," Jodi said.
As of Tuesday, three top prizes remain for the scratch-off game, according to the Ohio Lottery.
