A pile of money.

BARBERTON, Ohio — Just a month after retiring, Carol Duncan of Barberton just hit big money after winning the top prize worth half a million dollars in the Ohio Lottery’s $500,000 Cashword scratch-off game.

Duncan says she purchased the winning lottery ticket at the Circle K at 344 5th Street in Barberton late one night. She says seeing the $500,000 prize on her winning ticket was mind-blowing.

“I had to keep looking it over and over,” Duncan said. “I thought I won it before, but it was a mistake.”
