CLEVELAND — Torrey Patton tied his season high with 25 points as top-seeded Cleveland State defeated Robert Morris 83-67 in the Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday night.
D'Moi Hodge had 15 points for the Vikings (20-9), who never trailed in the game and shot 54% from the field. Tre Gomillion added 13 points and Broc Finstuen had 10 points and six rebounds.
Enoch Cheeks scored a career-high 21 points, adding seven rebounds, six assists and three blocks for the 10th-seeded Colonials (8-24). Kahliel Spear had 15 points, while Brandon Stone scored 10.
Cleveland State will continue its defense of its Horizon League championship Monday night when it takes on in-state rival Wright State at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis. The Vikings won both of their previous meetings with the No. 4 seed Raiders this season.
