FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Willowick native Destiny Leo scored 21 points and Cleveland State beat Purdue Fort Wayne for the second time in three days Saturday afternoon, 80-59.
The Eastlake North product made 56% of her attempts from the field. As a team, the Vikings (12-3, 7-2 Horizon League) made 60% of their shots, with a total of four players reaching double figures.
Amellia Bromenschenkel led Fort Wayne (5-13, 4-7) with 14 points off the bench. The Mastodons shot only 31% from the field on the way to their 13th loss in 15 games.
With three straight wins under its belt, surging Cleveland State will next head to Chicago Thursday night to face UIC.
