This time last year, Odell Beckham Jr. was welcoming another former LSU Tiger to Cleveland when the Browns selected Greedy Williams from his alma mater.
On Thursday, however, Beckham's welcome message to his team's top draft pick took on a different tone when the Browns selected offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Unlike Beckham and Williams, Wills spent his college career at Alabama. And the Crimson Tide, of course, just so happen to be arguably LSU's biggest rival.
"Bama boy," Beckham tweeted, along with a slew of angry emojis. "Lol guess we [cool] now."
Wills, who earned first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors last season, took the teasing in stride.
"Just lemme know how much time you need to finish your route 13," Wills wrote.
Although he predominantly played on the right side of Alabama's offensive line, the 6-foot-4, 312-pound Wills is expected to fill the Browns' void at left tackle. According to Pro Football Focus, the former 4-star prospect allowed just one sack in 929 pass-blocking snaps over the course of his college career.
