Watch: Browns GM Andrew Berry drafts Jedrick Wills Jr. over video call

On Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns selected Alabama offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. with the No. 10 overall pick.

With the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic making the 2020 NFL Draft a remote event, players were unable to walk the stage after hearing their names called like they usually do.

That, however, didn't stop the moment that Jedrick Wills Jr. found out he was going to become a member of the Cleveland Browns from being an emotional one -- and the team has the footage to prove it.

In a video shared by the Browns' official Twitter account, first-year general manager Andrew Berry can be seen informing Wills over a video call that Cleveland would be selecting him with the No. 10 overall pick. The 20-year-old Alabama product was clearly emotionally moved by the moment, holding back tears as he was congratulated by Berry, head coach Kevin Stefanski and owners Jimmy Haslam and J.W. Johnson.

A former 4-star prospect, Wills started in 29 games in his career with Crimson Tide, earning first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors in 2019. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed just one sack in 929 pass-blocking snaps over the course of his college career.

Although he predominantly played on the right side of Alabama's offensive line, the 6-foot-4, 312-pound Wills is expected to fill the Browns' void at left tackle. Earlier this offseason, Cleveland signed free agent Jack Conklin, who is expected to start at right tackle for the Browns.
