CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a deadly overnight crash on I-71 near West 150th Street.
Cleveland EMS confirmed to 3News that this was a wrong-way driver crash, resulting in the death of one woman. We’ve also been told that three others were hurt and taken to the hospital -- two of which were listed in serious condition.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 58-year-old Vetrica Lemaitre.
Police tell 3News the preliminary investigation reveals it was around 1:15 a.m. when the crash took place.
"Reports indicate a vehicle was driving southbound in the northbound lanes, crashing head on into another vehicle," according to Cleveland police.
No additional details were immediately available as police continue their investigation.
