Heads up! If you typically park your vehicle on the street, you may need to move it soon or it might be towed away.
That’s because some communities throughout Northeast Ohio are issuing parking bans due to the winter storm that's hitting the region this week.

Below you’ll find a list of parking bans that have been activated. Be sure to check back frequently as we will update this list as more parking bans are announced:
- Akron: In effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday until further notice.
- Bedford: In effect from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 5 p.m. Friday
- Canton: In effect from 12:01 a.m. Thursday until 12:01 p.m. Sunday for all streets within the city limits. The parking ban will be lifted early for downtown only by 2 p.m. Friday.
- Chagrin Falls: In effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Friday
- Chester Township: In effect until 8 p.m. Friday
- Cleveland: In effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Saturday.
- Cleveland Heights: In effect from 7 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. Friday.
- East Cleveland: In effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday until 2 p.m. Saturday.
- Gates Mills: In effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Saturday
- Green: In effect from 8 p.m. tonight through 8 a.m. Saturday.
- Lakewood:A parking ban has been activated for the following areas until further notice:
- Athens Avenue (Carabel to Lincoln)
- Belle Avenue (Madison to Lake)
- Berea Road (Horseshoe Bridge to W. 117th)
- Bunts Road (Lakewood Heights Boulevard to Clifton Boulevard)
- Clifton Boulevard (Webb to W. 117th)
- Delaware Avenue (McKinely to Brown)
- Detroit Avenue (Gridley to W. 117th)
- Lake Avenue (Webb to W. 117th)
- Lakewood Heights Boulevard (Woodward to Horseshoe Bridge)
- Madison Avenue (Riverside to W. 117th)
- Riverside Drive (Sloane to Fischer)
- W. 117th Street (Berea to Edgewater)
- Warren Road (Lakewood Heights Boulevard to Clifton Boulevard)
- West Clifton (between Riverside and Clifton)
- Maple Heights: In effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until further notice
- Moreland Hills: In effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until further notice
- Newburgh Heights: In effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Saturday. “Vehicles not moved will be ticketed and towed,” officials warn.
- North Olmsted: In effect from 7 a.m. Thursday until 11 p.m. Friday
- Orange: Ban in effect if snow is over two inches
- Ravenna: Extended until further notice.
- Sagamore Hills: In effect from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 1 p.m. Friday.
- Seven Hills: In effect Wednesday and Thursday.
- Shaker Heights: In effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m Friday
- Silver Lake: In effect from 12 a.m. Thursday until 4 p.m. Friday.
- Solon: Ban in effect if snow is over two inches
- South Russell Village: In effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until further notice.
- Stow: In effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until further notice
- Tallmadge: In effect until 5 p.m. Friday.
- Wadsworth: In effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until further notice.
- Warrensville Heights: In effect from 7 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. Saturday.
