AKRON, Ohio — If you are 'California Dreaming' during these winter months, Breeze Airways will soon be able to get you from Northeast Ohio to Los Angeles nonstop.
On Tuesday, Breeze Airways announced that it will be offering summer seasonal nonstop service from Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) starting on May 23. The route will happen on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Fares will start from $119 one-way if tickets are purchased by January 29 for travel by Sept. 3, 2024.
“We are thrilled to announce new, nonstop service to Los Angeles from CAK, a route that will provide Northeast Ohio with more options for leisure and business travel,” said Ren Camacho, Akron-Canton Airport President and CEO, in a statement. “This route exemplifies Breeze Airways’ commitment to expanding connectivity and enhancing the passenger experience to in-demand destinations.”
Last fall, Breeze Airways announced that it had become the largest carrier at Akron-Canton Airport.
“Since we started flying in May 2021, Breeze has continued to add great destinations to
our rapidly growing footprint, and now we’re the largest carrier from Akron/Canton with nine nonstop destinations and three BreezeThru routes,” added Breeze CEO and Founder David Neeleman. “The new LAX addition will surely be welcomed as we continue to bring efficient, affordable and elevated travel to underserved markets.”
