EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 14-year-old boy is dead following a shooting in East Cleveland Tuesday night.
According to police, the victim was found lying on the ground before being rushed by ambulance to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He later died there from his injuries, and has since been identified as London Kidd.
Authorities later posted a photo on Facebook of a male person of interest, and Chief Scott Gardner tells 3News the individual has since turned himself in. However, while he admitted to being at the scene when the incident occurred, he claims he is not the one who fatally shot London.
This matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to immediately call the East Cleveland Police Department at (216) 451-1234.
