CARROLLTON, Ohio — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says its Inspection Division is investigating a shooting in Carrollton involving an agent that left one person dead on Monday.
According to the FBI's Cleveland Division, the incident in Carrollton happened at approximately 11:15 a.m. Officials told 3News in an email that "one subject was wounded."
On Tuesday afternoon, an FBI spokesperson told 3News that the subject who was wounded and transported to an area hospital for further treatment "succumbed to their injuries."
"The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide," the FBI told 3News in a statement.
