Two people killed, two others injured in Fourth of July shooting in Cleveland

Two people were killed in a quadruple shooting in Cleveland on Wednesday.

CLEVELAND — Two people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Cleveland.

According to Cleveland Police, officers responded to a residence on E. 150th Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. for reports of shots fired and a dead body in the street. Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old female victim with gunshot wounds to her head and back. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 23-year-old male was found in the street nearby with gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Additionally, a 22-year-old man was found on scene with a gunshot wound to his arm and transferred to UH for treatment. A fourth victim, a 23-year-old man, arrived at SouthPointe Hospital via private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his arm.

A preliminary investigation has determined that there was a large group of people in the street lighting fireworks when shots were fired. No suspects have been identified and an investigation remains ongoing.
