AKRON, Ohio — An investigation is underway after a possible garage explosion killed one person in Akron.
Akron Fire officials responded to a possible explosion at 705 Patterson Avenue in Akron on Tuesday evening.
Upon arrival, crews found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames. The Summit County Bomb Squad was also notified about the possible explosion.
Officials say that the fire was under control by 7:29 p.m.
The victim of the fire has not been identified, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
