AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a six-year-old boy that occurred on Wednesday.
According to Akron Police, officers and EMS responded to a residence on Moraine Avenue at 7:36 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive child. Both of the child's parents were on the scene and provided CPR until EMS arrived and continued to provide life-saving measures.
The boy was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. An investigation remains ongoing.
