AKRON, Ohio — One of the biggest icons in music history is bringing what could very well be his final tour to Akron.
On Monday, Bob Dylan announced the next leg of his ongoing "Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour." Included in the tour, which comes in support of his 39th studio album of the same name, is a stop at Akron's Civic Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023.
Tickets for the concert go on sale on Friday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. ET at Ticketmaster.com.
Originally launching in November 2021, the Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour has included six legs, with more than 100 shows worldwide, including stops in Europe and Asia. The tour included a previous stop at Cleveland's KeyBank State Theatre on Nov. 5, 2021.
The 82-year-old Dylan is considered one of the most accomplished singer/songwriters in history, having received a Nobel Prize in 2016 for literature. Among his accomplishments are 10 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award and a Pulitzer Prize.
Last month, The New York Post reported that Dylan's "Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour" is expected to be the final tour of his legendary career. The tour is scheduled to last into 2024.
