CLEVELAND — A handgun was safely recovered from a student's locker at Cleveland Central Catholic High School on Thursday, March 17.
The recovery was made after administrators became aware that a student had brought the handgun to the school. Administrators found the gun in a book bag in the student’s locker and contacted police to investigate the matter further.
The student has since been suspended, pending further investigation.
"Cleveland Central Catholic takes matters affecting student safety very seriously and will take appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion once all the facts are known," the school told 3News.
