CLEVELAND — Authorities are investigating after an employee with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District found human remains while working inside of a sewer in Cleveland on Wednesday morning.
The Cleveland Police Department says the remains were discovered around 11:45 a.m. within the sewer along the 16400 block of Euclid Avenue. The individual’s age, gender and race are all currently unknown, police said.
“The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office will take possession of the remains for further investigation and identification,” Cleveland police said in a press release.
No additional details are immediately available, but stay with 3News as will update this story if more information is released.
