AKRON, Ohio — Late Saturday night, Akron police were called to investigate a fatal shooting in the 2100 block of 12th Street Southwest in the Kenmore neighborhood.
Authorities learned that the 26-year-old male was standing on a porch and was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Summit County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy. The man's name is currently being withheld until his family can be notified.
Detectives are working to gather additional information surrounding the circumstances of the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
