MASSILLON, Ohio — An investigation is currently underway in Stark County after Massillon police say a 3-year-old boy drowned earlier this week.
It was just before 1 p.m. Sunday when the Massillon Police Department was notified of the incident in the 600 block of Fries Street, according to a press release shared by the Massillon Police Department on their Facebook page.
Upon responding to the scene, Massillon police say officers found the child unresponsive.
Officers provided life-saving measures until the Massillon Fire Department arrived. The boy was then taken to Aultman Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
