NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Hiland High School graduate Morgan McMillen scored 21 points on 10 of 16 shooting as Walsh dominated Lake Erie 88-58 Saturday afternoon.
The Cavaliers (14-3, 9-2 G-MAC) shot 51% from the field as a team and took control with a 15-0 run to end the first quarter. Tuslaw alum Mayci Sales added 17 points and seven rebounds while Sha Carter had 19 and six.
Lake Erie (1-18, 0-13) actually made 53% of its attempts, but turned the ball over 26 times in its 16th straight loss. Breanna Bauer led the Storm with 12 points on 6 of 6 shooting.
The road gets no easier for Lake Erie, which heads back to Painesville Wednesday night to host fourth-ranked Ashland. Walsh will be at Trevecca Nazarene Thursday evening in search of its seventh straight win.
