ALLIANCE, Ohio — GlenOak alum Christian Parker had 28 points and 11 rebounds off the bench as fifth-ranked Mount Union rolled to an 89-80 win over rival John Carroll Wednesday night.

The Purple Raiders (15-2, 8-2 OAC) led by 10 at the half on their way to their fifth straight victory. They shot 51% from the field, with Jackson grad Ethan Stanislawski adding 18 points, seven boards, and six assists.

Medina product Jackson Sartain led JCU (7-8, 2-6) with 20 points and nine rebounds. The Blue Streaks managed to cut the deficit to five with 2:04 left, but it was too little, too late.

Still tied for second in the Ohio Athletic Conference, Mount Union will host Ohio Northern Saturday afternoon. John Carroll will head to Columbus to play Capital Friday evening.
