CLEVELAND — A 13-year-old girl is hospitalized after being shot three times in Cleveland.
The Cleveland Division of Police reports that the shooting happened at around 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday in the 7700 block of Woodland Avenue. The girl sustained gunshot wounds to the stomach, arm, and hand.
She was transported to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. A police officer on scene told 3News that the girl was in surgery and was listed in critical condition.
Members of the Cleveland Division of Police's Fourth District Basic Patrol and Violent Crimes Response Team worked with the Gang Impact Unit and the Real Time Crime Center to quickly identify and arrest one male.
The shooting remains under investigation.
