CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Fire is investigating after a duplex house fire occurred on the city's east side Thursday.
The fire broke out at a home in the 6700 block of Bonna Avenue. According to fire officials, the job of putting out the flames was made considerably harder due to the freezing cold temperatures.
The fire involved both the second floor and the attic. Photos show that a portion of the roof collapsed into the attic. By 3:30 p.m., the Cleveland Division of Fire tweeted that the fire was "under control" and no injuries had been reported. Officials tell 3News that a woman had been home at the time, but was safe.
The house was apparently undergoing renovations prior to the fire. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
This is a developing story. Stay with 3News for more details as they become available.
